SOME DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

Garden Club Events

All the details will be up in a few days time but here are the dates:

Monday 4th May (Bank Holiday): PLANT SALE at Llanvihangel Court 11am – 3pm. Plant delivery and set-up afternoon of Sunday 3rd May.

Wednesday 10th June: Visit to Rhodd’s Farm near Kington

Friday 3rd July: Evening visit to Glebe House, Llanvair Kilgeddin courtesy of Joanna Kerr

Tuesday 21st July: Visits to Damson Farm near Batheaston & Iford Manor.

Thursday 6th August 10am: Visit to Horatio’s Garden at Llandough Hospital

All visits are self-drive with as much car sharing as possible. In all cases we will be given a guided tour with owners/head gardeners. Refreshments provided.

OTHER LOCAL EVENTS OF INTEREST

The WaterAid Plant Sale will be held on Sunday 17 May 2026 at Abergavenny Community Centre from 2-5. There’ll be live music and refreshments.

Cantref Open Gardens in Abergavenny will be on Sunday 14 June from 11-5.30 raising money for Target Ovarian Cancer. 15 gardens open.

PLANT SALE SUCCESS

Our plant sale at Llanvihangel Court on Sunday 25th May was a huge success and raised a considerable amount of money for Garden Club funds. This was thanks to a massive team effort with many members raising and providing plants and helping with the organisation and sale itself. Everyone enjoyed their day in the beautiful gardens of lLlanvihangel Court and we are grateful to the family for providing the venue, cream teas and a warm welcome.

As mentioned at Monday’s meeting an initiative which could be of interest to anyone with a meadow or similar.
